About the project
Kitră la metru is a project about the whole and the fragment. A large composition is opened to the public, and every visitor can cut out the part that speaks to them. Kitra then paints that fragment again, by hand, at its real size. Little by little the composition is shared among people, until nothing is left to choose.
Choose your fragment
Draw a rectangle on the composition. The selection follows the work’s grid: the smallest fragment is one unit of 10 × 10 cm, the largest is the entire composition.
Reserve it
Leave your name and delivery address. From that moment the fragment appears covered on the composition and can no longer be chosen by anyone else.
Kitra paints it
The fragment is repainted by hand at 1:1 scale on a new canvas. Then it travels to you.
